About Us
We are 2612A Chaos Theory from ASU Preparatory Academy, Casa Grande, Arizona. This is our 6th season in operation as a team and we are very excited to be competing in the 2021-2022 VEX Robotics Competition season. We have attended the AZ VEX State Championship for 5 seasons in a row. During the 2020-2021 AZ VEX State Championship we placed 1st qualifying us for the VEX Robotics World Championship. This website has information on what the VEX Robotics Competition is and how to join our team!
What is the VEX Robotics Competition? The VEX Robotics Competition is a competition for middle & high school students (aged 11-18). Participants design a robot using the VEX EDR metal robotics construction platform to solve an engineering challenge presented in the form of game. Standard VRC matches follow a 2v2 format, though teams can also compete in individual Programming or Robot Skills trials.

Past Seasons
2019 - 2020 "Tower Takeover"During this 4th season, we were able to perform the best we have ever done as a team. We won a tournament and qualified for the AZ VEX Robotics State Competition. There we placed as a finalist and qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship for the 2nd time, however due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the VEX World Championship was cancelled. Over the course of this season alone we earned a total of 6 awards.

2018 - 2019 "Turning Point"This being our third year, we not only set the goal of going to state again but to also win one competition. We went on to win one competition and officially qualify for the AZ VEX Robotics State Championship. We made it to semi-finals there and it was the moment we were waiting for. However it all came down to the wire, when one the wires to a motor was ripped out during the semi-finals match. We placed top 4 in the state but did not qualify for the VEX Robotics World Championship.

2017 - 2018 "In the Zone"This was our second year in operation as a team and we placed a bare goal of attending the AZ VEX Robotics State Championship again. We came close but still were unable to win a competition. We were invited, through skills, to the AZ VEX Robotics State Championship again and that is when our history changed. We competed and went on to take 2nd place, qualifying us to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. There we placed in the top 500 teams from around the world.
